Angry A frustrating problem

hello everyone.
this thread is almost the same as the "Unable to initialize 3D output", but i made it because i got complains about many people having this problem
It happens when a person reformatts the computer due to viruses or any other "have-to-reformat" issue.
so here's my story:

I played GW for about 3 months now, everything was great. Then i got some viruses and i had to reformatt my comptuer because i couldnt get on the internet. So, i reformat my comp, install a fresh copy of windows, INSTALL DIRECTX9, internet works perfectly. Then i installed GW. It installed very fast ( bout 4 minutes or so) it updated fast too ( average 140kb/sec). So, my net is working perfectly and theres nothing wrong.
*EEEEH!*
wrong!
When i want to play the game, it goes up to 100%, then a window pops up:

UNABLE TO INITIALIZE 3D OUTPUT. PLEASE VERIFY THAT YOU HAVE DIRECTX 8 AND AN UPDATED VIDEO DRIVER.

so, i have the directx9 now, so it HAS to be the video driver. the thing is, i dont know what driver i must install... i ran the dxdiag, and it says that i have to download the latest version of my video driver. where ?? where can i do that ?? i went to the Packard Bell official site ( my computer is packard bell ) and the Packard bell site is made so crappy i cant even find the driver uploads. the thing is, i downloaded a driver from nvidia, but it says that the program didnt find any drivers compatible with my current hardware.

WHAT CAN I DO ?? please help me... i just know there cant be anything other wrong than my video driver... where can i get one of those please ? a link would be VERY helpful... thanks in advance!!!

yours truly,

I would check the connection to the video card, even go into your computer, remove your video card and physically reinstall it

lol take it easy. Try a complete uninstall of the graphic driver from add/remove programs in control panel then reboot. After that go to whereever you had put your new driver (the new one that you downloaded), it'll be the .exe file, double click on it and install, reboot. After that might as well reinstall direct x9.c, just install it on top of the old one. Dx might be corrupted.

Also do make sure that you have install all of the motherboard drivers, seeing that you did reinstall window.

Go to the following link

http://support.packardbell.com/uk/

Look to the right on how to obtain your serial number (hover your mouse over desktop for instance and follow instructions on how to obtain your serial number) on the back of your pc tower you should locate your serial number this is the easiest method.

put the serial number into the space provided click ok the page loaded should give you an option for product downloads and on the next page you will find a tab with driver downloads for your pc. Now download video component and it should work for you.

Good luck
