Hi,

I got a good video card that support dual monitors. i asked the computer techniction about running dual monitor on one computer but have diffrent windows(exmple:two OS) which i saw before but i dont really know if its just dual monitors or its Dual OS's with dual monitors. anyways, the techniction said that its imposible to do that (to have two diffrent screen on one computer) only dual monitors is to have two monitors with same picture and everything. is there a way to dual monitor and have two diffrent windows? for example to use two GW sepiratly?

Matrox has a couple of products. One of them is the DualHeal2Go for two monitors. The TripleHead2Go is for three monitors.

I have a 23" LCD that I run at the highest resolution (1900x1200) and that resolution (*x1200) is not supported.

On the TripleHead2Go GuildWars is listed as a supported game.

I run with Dual monitors.

Plug your #1 monitor into tht new video card of yours, plug #2 into the onboard slot.

your (if useing windows) START menu bar SHOULD be on #1 while #2 simply displays a blank desk top, in other words just your back ground and no icons, however you can drag some Icons to it.

Yur mouse should be able to move back and forth between to two. EVERYTHING will default happen on screen #1 any will then have to drag it to screen #2.

In order to move the mouse about between the two screens while programs are open you can not run anything at FULL screen. So you must open screens and resize them.

I run GW on screen #1 and Ventrilo on Screen #2, I also have a icon for a shortcut to Wiki on Screen #2 as well as the WinAmp media player incase I want music.

IF any screen is part way on each screen or slightly dragged of of a screen, you will get massive mouse lag so watch your resizing and window placement.

Dual screens are very handy, you can download twice as much po....I mean learn about twice as many things from educational sites with 2 screens. Also helpfull for those Coreographer title map comparing peoples.

I think he wants to run Two Operating systems simultaneously on the same computer and have each display on a seperate monitor.

This would be very demanding on your computer and I dont think it could be done on your standard cpu, which is most likely multi-core.

Since it would require everything hardware to be split down the middle, you would either need to have double the hardware or two of everything (basically the same)

There are MUCH larger computer cases that you can find that you can find two motherboards vertical, back to back, which would allow you to basically have two computers in the same case, at which point you could have one video card in each and have the result you are looking for.

It is expensive but doable.

There are actual PC Cases that are twice as fat and open on each side to install two motherboards back to back with hardware.

Its two computers in the same case, therefor being able to run two different things on two different Monitors

Two monitors displaying different things = yes, easy (see Orange Milk's post)

Two OS's on the same machine running at the same time (same mobo + CPU) = no, never, unless you're running a virtualization tool (Virtual PC, Parallels Desktop, etc.) on your main OS, in which case you could run another OS in a "window". I'm going to go ahead and assume that virtual servers and remote sessions are out of the question.

I just got my new Monitor and pluged both monitors in the computer and now i have the same as Orange milk says, just a background, but that wont let me play 2 GW on the same system, so i decided to buy a dual motherboard Case which i let me play two GW on two diffrent OS's, any suggestion on a good dual mother board Case?

Unfortunatly I cant recommend a specific case, but I do know of them. You may look for an ATX full tower that supports two motherboard trays or something more along the ways of a square server case

umm just to let you know that from what i've seen in this thread, the technical knowledge needed to support one of the dual motherboards is a little high and you might want to research it before diving into it. if your only concern is to be able to run two accounts of GW at the same time, just follow the guide here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=70999

the dual monitors on one computer just lets you use a second monitor as an extension of your current monitor. there's some other profiles as well like displaying the same thing on both if you're having a presentation or something.
