Wow in DoA at gloom and me and guildies all kicked and then turns out EVERYONE was kicked, glad i wasnt fighting Mallyx. Was it just DoA folks or was it national perhaps global?

Just now a mass err7, my entire guild dropped. So i was thinking a Aussie location thing. Then I realised that half of LA dropped before I went, I sign back in and sure enough the District is being repopulated with everyone reporting a connection drop.

Good sign or bad?

edit, then I posted this once already and guru was away from the internet for a few page loads... not my day lol

Everyone in the game got kicked. I was about 45 mins into the Deep at the time. Good PR a week before GW:EN comes out ANET! I like how the disabled reconnects just compounded the problem...

Looks like they are trying to put reconnect back in.
I got a dialog box asking me whether I want to reconnect 2 (or 3?) times before it completely failed and kick me out.

Fortunately, it turns out Master Togo (despite the spirit burn nerf) & Mhenlo just finished the mission for me

I was tabbed out at the time and and when I opened GW's I saw I had been disconnected. I thought oh wow again (it was the second time tonight). When I logged back in I saw my whole guild had logged off at the same time.

Disabling the reconnect feature sucks and was a bad decision in my opinion, but mass disconnects from the Guild Wars servers don't actually happen very often. I don't think a "mass reconnect" could have worked very well anyway with such a large system outage.

I think sometimes people get used to the high reliability that they lose some sense of proportion regarding problems when they do occur.
