Default laptop recommendations

I am going to purchase a new laptop and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Basically i want a laptop that would be great for school and would also play games such as guild wars. I'm looking for something around $500-750. The laptop doesn't have to be special but i would like it if it had some software such as microsoft word. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Buy one with a real graphic card.. like Nvidia or Ati.. Don't buy some crap with an intel graphic card..
Make sure you get atleast 1GB memory and you should be fine

Best dedicated card in this price range will be the 8400Go. It sucks TBH but it will run GW at med settings.

Best bet is to try here:

You are not going to get a wondrous system at that price. But yes, avoid integrated graphics especially for GW:EN and ensure you have at least 1GB RAM. (If your machine runs XP. Otherwise, make that 2GB if it runs Vista which I don't recommend).

Also, since you mention MS Word, I suggest Open Office which is mostly Word compatible and is a free download.
