Because his hardware set up could have GW run at hight double digit or even triple digit easily.

Must admit, while my system is not as up to date as some of them on here, I've not had a moments trouble.

I only recently rebuilt my PC (was an Athlon XP 2000, now running and Athlon 64 3500), and I'm running a really old Radeon 9600 Pro Fireblade. Yet, I get a TINY bit of lag in settlements (lions arch and the like), but out in the game world itself my game NEVER stops or lags at all. very strange.

The thing I can put it down to is my drivers. I tried the standard catalyst drivers and they were appaling, so I went back to my old faithful omega drivers, and the machine never, and I mean never misses a bit.

www.omegadrivers.net, they are optimised versions of the Nvidia and ATI drivers, and they make a whole lot of difference.

In terms of ATI cards, this may sound strange, but instead of turning the graphics settings down, turn them UP. ATI cards love to have their necks wrung to within an inch of their lives, and give their best performance pushed really, really hard. My card is OC as standard (hence the Fireblade moniker), but I haven't OC'ed it any further and it really hasn't failed me yet. Just push it as hard as you possibly can (I run at 1280 x 1024 - 180 Hz, No Vsync, Full Post Processing Effects, Best Quality, 2x AA, if that helps).
