I did that and now the game runs smooth, smoother than ever before

So if you're having the same problem this is definitely worth giving a try!

I am having a similar problem that whenever i launch GW i get this "Hardware Malfunction" message and the program terminates. But when I load the game and set the affinity to only run on one processor, I don't have that problem.

So, since it is kind of a pain to do ctrl+alt+del and set the affinity each time I want to play i downloaded imagecfg and installed it where it said to. But then when i go to the command prompt and type in imagecfg -a 0x1 c:\programfiles\guildwars\gw.exe it say "Unable to Map and Locate File"

Am I just typing it in wrong or what?

Possiby - if that is what you are typing it looks like you are missing the space in Program Files. I would just place imagecfg in the Guild Wars directory and run it on gw.exe (without the path).
