I didnt know if I should put this in my last thread or what but im worried again because I was looking at the system requirements for GW and I found thats the system requirements for nightfall is different than for factions so could you guys put my mind at ease again?

Nightfall reccomended system requirements

mine
1024 ram
pentium 4
3.2 ghz

let me also mention my card has no fan

EDIT: I just opened my comp and came across 2 fans though there not on my vid card could these be cooling fans to cool down my whole comp?

If you can run Factions, you can run NF. The only real change in the specs is that you need more HD space to fit the larger gw.dat file. As for you fans, as they are not on your vid card, one is likely for the cpu and the other just circulates air inside your case. Regardless, you should go out and buy a can of compressed air and clean them out every now and again. If you are really worried about overheating, you can simply leave the case open or drill some holes into to allow for better air flow.

Regarding your concerns about there being no fan on your video card. I would recommend spending about $13(shipping included) for something like this Titan TTC-SC03TB PCI Slot VGA Card Cooling Fan, or something similar to that fan. It would be a wise investment. I've had a FX5200 fail prematurely on me due to overheating, and I think one of these would fix the heat problem.

hey i just found this new program called speed fan that tells me my tempeture of my comp, so if anyones willing to post a "normal" tempature while playing guild wars id really appeciate it so I can look over the usual temps and my actual temps

I'm running the Pentium 4 820D 2.80GHz, which is dual-core. Also over-clocked to 3.21GHz.
My idle temps are:
System:34C
CPU:35C

Temps while in GW(not in a load screen):
System: 35C
CPU: 55-59C(normally 55C)

I don't have a program that monitors my Graphics Card Temp. I don't even think my graphics card has a temp sensor. (Sapphire ATI Radeon X600XT PCIe 256MB)

well after a conversation with a plaync employee and after giving him a dxdiag of my computer he has confirmed to me that the game should run fine and I shouldnt worry about it overheating

59NC IS YOUR CPU TEMP? That's DANGEROUS! if that was GFX temp, no Problem, but anything going over 60C on your CPU is melt-down close temps.

CLean your fans, open the side of case, think of geting another or better fans, or some clooling liquid.

60-65 itself is bad, because it starts to shorten the life-span significantly, 70-80 = it's going to last like 3-4 months more. 90-100 = it's gone in 15 minutes.
