Default Computer Issue

I noticed, when i play Guild Wars (NOTE: I am just using GW as an example) the game minimizes and a blank bar appears in the taskbar and appears then goes away.

It does this quite often and minimizes whenever i have a game running.

If i am on the internet or using a different program (not a game) it just shows up in the taskbar. It doesn't minimize the internet or word for example, only when i am playing a game.

Here is a picture.

My first impression is that you have some sort of Malware on your machine. I would install AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy, update them, then run scans with both. I would also recommend doing some online virus scans. There are several free ones out there that will scan your system remotely. You could also point your browser to bleepingcomputers.com and send them the log from a program called hijackthis. They will analyze the log and then assist you if you have any malware/viruses.

Most likely is an infection of some sort. Just hopefully not a key logger. That is a common thing to see from malware and other malicious programs.
