Default Having a horrible time running the game/maintaining internet connection

Hey, I've recently been having a horrible time maintaining internet connectivity and decent speed.

The issue started several months ago, but back then it was mediocre issues...

now its absolutely horrible, and my ping is often in the 1,000+ however, just yesterday it was 57,000+

So today I ran a virus scan (yes, lol at me all you want for neglecting it)
and it came up with this during the proccess:

http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...=virusscan.jpg

there were about 50ish files that "were not scanned" because "The File is Encrypted"

that confused me

when it was completely done, 132,881 files were scanned and 3 trojans were detected.

Now I'm sitting at my computer confused and not sure what to do and if this has -anything- to do with my GuildWars issues.

And.... my internet connection is 'excellent' therefore that is not an issue.

The crappy connection might be just your ISP screwing up, but the trojan thing could be pretty serious. Did you google the trojans' names? Sometimes you can find clues as to how dangerous they are. Also, it could be a good idea to run another scan with some other antivirus software, too. You never know what else you'll find.

Oh, and is that a wireless LAN connection I see in the screenshot? Try a wired connection and see if that helps with the connection problems. WLAN can be a bit unreliable with some combinations of hardware.

tyvm for the repsonse

I'll try hooking up, but I don't think they have any direct connections on campus >.<

I looked up the trojans, they're not pretty and I ran -another- virus scan program which detected tons more trojans and several key-loggers which made me go "uhhh... KEYLOGGERS WTF?!"

So I clicked 'start removal' and its like "to remove you must buy our product "

so I'm just going to completely wipe my hard-drive and re-install what I need 0_o... because the Anti-Virus software on my computer is un-able to delete the said trojans.

If all else fails, wipe it clean

Might be a good idea if you can't find a 100% reliable way to purge the shit from your OS. You can't really trust a rooted operating system with your private data.

Or that Guild Wars login. You know.

since you said you got keyloggers go some where with a computer that wont have keyloggers, change your email's password, and then go to guild wars a request a new password BUT DO NOT GO CHECK YOUR EMAIL,then reformat your computer,THEN you can check your email

and a good free virus scanner is AVG free edition
