Default Repairing data archive?

During GW a message displayed that a new build is available. (20th OCtober'2007)

But on client restart I got "Repairing Data archive"

Anyone else got this?

I always get that, I think you get it if you close the game incorrectly or it doesn't properly close. You normally get it if you force quit Guild Wars.

I always shut off the game using the "x" check box on the top right!

Aghrrrr after shutting down the GW client an hour ago!...I got this message AGAIN T-T

This is the first time I ever saw it after the update!

Seems like I am the only one getting it this frequent!

After doing some research, I found out that this error comes when the GW.dat file gets corrupt during an update!

Only two solutions

1.)To "logout properly" EVERY TIME before closing T-T

2.) Or replace my 5.2GB gw.dat FILE with a fresh Download! aghrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! This totally BLOWS!

Didn't know that. I've gotten this error a lot as well lately. Even got my data screwed up with idle NPC's doing weird jumps while they should be standing still.

From now on I'd better log out first then :S.

First thing, if your Gw.dat file is 5.2GB in size you probably have some sort of problem. Try to defrag the .dat file using the method in the Bad lagg, try this sticky in the tech's corner. If this doesn't fix your problem, you'll probably have delete your .dat file and download a new one. -image will be your friend. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Command_line
