Hello there,

I recently went to my local GAME to purchase Guild Wars: Eye of the North. I went to pay for it and this guy at the counter was trying to con me in to buying this gamepad thing, he said you need it to play. I have been playing Guild Wars for quite a while now and knew you didn't, but anyway.

I was like, no you don't. He was like, if you buy Eye of the North with this exclusive gamepad you get £10 off. So I was like, not wanting to cause a fuss, yeah ok whatever, I'll take it. £25 please. OK. Right so I fell for the little con, nevermind.

I got home and thought to myself, "Hmmmm, I'll try the gamepad". It has like 11 buttons so I was like, "Yeah I could use different buttons for different skills and stuff". Anyway I plugged it in, it installed and everything. I then go on Guild Wars and realise I can't actually play it with the gamepad. No big deal really.

But yeah, it's a cheapy value controller, I think it's called something like "GAMEWARE, 11 buttoned, digital gamepad".

So I was wondering if there was actually anything I could do with it? Maybe you even have one?

If you can assign the buttons on the gamepad to keystrokes buy using of some type of software that would hopefully be included with the pad then you could very easily play GW with it. I have a Nostromo n52 that I played GW with for a little while but I could never get my hands "re-programed" to do anything different from WASD movement so I discontinued its us in GW. The controller does however rock quite nicely playing Unreal Tournament.

Take it back to GAME and beat the slack-jawed chavvy type who conned you severely around the head with it! Don't stop hitting him until he starts twitching, then piss on him and calmly walk away.
