You have to say that you're going to cancel your subscription unless you talk to someone higher up. It never fails .

Otherwise, they'll tell you to reset your modem, then that it's nothing to do with them...

lol yeah, it will probably take you threatening legal action for them to admit they've done something wrong.

Telewest was so much better than Virgin fricken media. First they take away the Sky channels because they can't be asked to pay Sky, and then they charge super high for customer service calls. I sincerely reckon they make their services suck on purpose, so some dumb idiot calls in and they get money from the call.

I've got 20MB too, but I hardly get that because they cap the top 5% of users or something, and I'm in the top 1% . Seems silly to cap your best customers... almost like chasing them to another provider.

Plusnet here and all is fine, just checked and can login as per normal. Then again, you know what they say about Virgin's routing don't you?

It never goes all the way!

One thing I did like about VM was there's no cap on downloading. And I dl a LOT of um....completely legal stuff that I completely pay for. But they leave me with no choice but to switch :/

Oh yes, been down that road with them many times before - and you know what, it's never the blasted router!

I've heard that VM are looking to sell out as they aren't getting the profits they thought they would....... I wonder why!?

I miss blueyonder..remember getting brilliant ping back then.

EDIT: 'The VM tech team are waiting on the Login server IP's before they can fully resolve the issue. '...ever get the feeling there'll be a 'no it's your end!' argument?

Actually the reason that VM customers dont have Sky One, Sky Two and the others is because Sky was trying to charge 3 times more than what NTL was paying for them before the Virgin take over. They didnt want to rip off the customers when Sky decided to be a bunch of greedy a**holes and jack up the price.

As for the customer service, in my opinion the VM customer service is a HELL of a lot better than the old NTL service. NTL strung me along for months with my internet problems blaming my pc and such and it took NTL 11 months to admit there was a problem and fix it. When VM came in i phoned them for an internet problem a couple of months ago, and they sorted it out there and then.

The main thing that people need to do now is be patient. No point in slagging off anything as they have admitted there is a problem and are working on fixing it. So instead of sitting online bitching about VM maybe its time to go and do something that isnt GW related :P
