not before you authorise them, i have tested this between my own accounts, you can compete the book (uncustermised), trade it over the other person can then trade in the completed book for an authrozied one (which is custermised), and then get there weapons, its only once you authorise the book that the book and the item that it entails is linked to that character.

It is a fair comparison. You could also ask "why wouldn't BK want their Whopper customers to buy other burgers." And the answers is - only they know why, it doesn't matter why, the issue here is that they do.

In the Burger King example, you would naturally assume that "any purchase at the drive-through" means any purchase of "a Whopper" at the drive through, not "any purchase of anything". This would partly be common sense and partly because you knew in advance that the promotion was for "a Whopper with free fries."
In ANet's case, you may not have known in advance what the promotion was before you saw the part about "any purchase at the PlayNC store". But, then of course, you would go to the GW site and read what the promotion said about "qualifying products/purchases".

So, at this point, if someone is complaining that any non-qualifying purchase they made in the PlayNC store should qualify, they are basically saying "I am a little dim" or they're just flaming the thread.

As did many. I understand the frustration of the people that don't have the BMP, but I reserve my right to say it's their own fault.

This release is misleading. It says several times "any purchase from NCSoft." Sure, if you read the fine print, you'll see it's only "qualifying" products. But that doesn't change my mind that it's misleading.

The release should have been worded better.

It isn't a matter of being an anet hugger, it's a matter of being tired of the same people crying over the same thing, over and over. Know what it is?

GW Update! I wonder what it was, wait, I know what it was because I actually read the update notes. Lets see how fast the kids on guru start crying.

It's like a game I play, you see. I am not the only one that plays this game.

O.K retard A-Net and NCSOFT are retarded as each other then.
Just because NCSoft owns Arena net does not mean it dictates it's every move. Back to the burger reference, not that it's working for you, is that not every single BK is going to have the same deals and options available, just most.

Quote:
oh have u never heard of cut percentage cus A-Net's name is on the box???
Guessing, proof does not make.

Quote:
i guess u havent, well i will explain it to you butt hugger, Having incorporated there name into GW for so long any and all GW products sold, A-Net will recieve cut percentage, if they didnt there company woul be bankrupt.

so if ur going to comment on my post atleast know sales/buisness. GG
If this is indeed your post and you claim to know sales and business, then quit crying and realize that you don't have the BMP because of a sales position that you took, not because of the almighty evil anet. You give them way too much credit.

So it would be ur own fault u got raped cus u happen to walk down that back alley? ur post has no logic
You are the one posting about a company rubbing themselves over a business decision, pissed off because you supposedly got left in the cold. What are you, 14? Calling people perverts and sexual deviants, butt huggers, pervert (anet) lovers and then calling them morons.

You aren't adding anything of value to this thread.

Company & General

Who is ArenaNet?

ArenaNet is a wholly owned subsidiary of NCsoft Corporation

no sweets NCsoft pays Anets bills and cuts them paychecks because Anet is not an independent company but............

Sigh. Whatever. This thread has become such a flamefest I really don't feel like arguing anymore anyway.

I'll end this by saying NCSoft should have counted any purchase (as Lov points out: NCsoft owns Anet.)

But they didn't. Any business they lose is their fault, the intelligence of their customers notwithstanding.
