Talking GW problems appear to be fixed

Ok so let me preface by saying that I HATE it when a topic gets deleted because repeating myself is not one of my favorite things to do but I'll digress.

My PC has been crashing since April. The sound would get distorted, mouse would freeze intermittently, and I'd have to reboot due to a lock-up. My PC is one that I built myself, and at the time the crashes began I was running an ATI 9800 video card. My sis saw a deal on nVidia 7600s so she bought one for herself and one for me. System was still crashing when I'd play GW. We moved the entire game to another HD, and it crashed. Downloaded a fresh .dat file - crashed. Defragged the dat file - crashed. Shut off the sound card, tampered with the video settings inside and outside the game.. you guessed it, crashed.

Two days ago I decided to unhook my PC from my LCD tv and hook it up to a TV so I could access CMOS (I can't see the boot-up sequence on my LCD tv because of its two viewing modes.. yeah, won't make that mistake again). I remember when I was having issues with my video card a long time ago, I turned the AGP Fast Write off. Everything in CMOS looked ok, so I turned the AGP setting back on.

Thus far, I've been playing GW for 2 days (5 hours one day, two the next, and I'm on now as I'm typing this), and haven't experienced a crash. Yes, I just knocked on wood *lol*

So... if anyone is having these kind of crashes, and you haven't checked your CMOS settings, I'd maybe give them a peek. I'd say that I'll repost should I be wrong, but..... let's say that I'll "try" instead
