Default Ventrilo Issues :/

So last night, vent is kicking me (and only me) every god damn few minutes. I can remain connected anywhere between 10 seconds and 5 minutes. It's annoying both ME and my alliance, and I was wondering if anyone knows what it could be.

GW isn't lagging.
No other games lag.
I'm not suffering slow load times.
I didn't do anything different to cause it to start.
I have tried rebooting the router and pulling the plug for the internet.
I have tried rebooting the vent server.

This is leading me to think that it's ISP-related, or a problem with my connection/ventrilo. Any ideas/thoughts?

Edit: The times it DCs me, it appears to occasionally also have my entire internet die on me. o_O but only for a split second

power cycle your modem/router (kill the power on it for 20 secs)

check your nic card/ router/ cable. 1 may be failing.

if you are using wireless?
are there:
old cordless phones in the house (any that are not 5.8 ghz)?
someone running a vacuum cleaner?
or a old dish washer?

it sounds like you are loosing packets.
to test this do a loop back ping preferably with the -t switch after the command.

try replacing the rj-45 cable if not wireless, the nic, and the modem/router. listed in cheapest to most expensive. altho i would contact your ISP and see if it is on there end before replacing stuff.

Pinged my vent server...was losing 1-3 packets each time. 5 minutes later, my ISP exploded. Virgin media are officially the biggest bag of shit possible. I am giving some serious thought to switching to O2 broadband.

Anyway, it came back up, I rebooted everything as I intended too. My slow-browsing speeds are gone and it's not SHOWING me losing any packets when I ping the vent IP, but I am still suffering sporadic disconnects.

This is only occuring with ventrilo and teamspeak. Nothing else is having any connection problems.

Edit: Ok so if I watch, I get a few moments where anyone talking freezes, and then I get DCed. I ping the server in this time and lose every packet.

Sounds like you may have a bad router somewhere between you and the Ventrilo server. Not much you can do about it.
