Default Downloading GW Files

Everytime i format my computer - or uninstall guildwars for various reasons i install it straight after.

I - Personaly dont have the space on my PC for a backup so id like to suggest that arena net has a "file download" button, or someething so you can download all the guildwars files without having to go to every seperate place.

In short:

Id like arena net to make it so you must only download 300k files in one go (example) instead of 15k then 300 then 5k in seperate chunks (examples)

Just a little suggestion, or is this not doable?

If wrong place plz move

The solution is pretty simple: just burn the file "gw.dat" that is in the C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\ folder (or whatever the location is on your computer) on a DVD (it should be between 3 and 4 Go).

When you reinstall your OS, simply reinstall GW (from the client that is on the GW website: http://eu.guildwars.com/support/cate...wnload_client/ ), and copy the gw.dat file from your DVD. Thus you won't have to download all the updates, but possibly only the last ones.

Hope this helps.

Re-reading your message, I'm not usre we understood each other:

1) you can actually download ALL the GW data in only one big download (add the flag "-image" in the Properties of you Guild Wars shorcut)

2) if your problem is that you don't have space left for the new updates, there's nothing you can do here apart from making room on your disk (80Go is big ... and how can you have a 16 Tb disk?)

3) the normal place for proposing ideas is the Sardelac Sanitarium:
