Default Vista Error 8033, Internet Re-set.

Hi there. I've recently purchased a new laptop with Vista Home Premuim on. For the first few weeks everything was fine, however recently the wireless internet has been disconnecting and re-connecting. In the event log this error is shown as 8033.

This means that i can not go on the internet effectively on my laptop, due to the internet cutting out pretty much every time i need to open a new page.

I've searched the internet and a few people have posted questions about this on other forums but no-one has answered.

If you need any more infomation in assisting me with this problem please just ask, as i am desperate to fix this as it makes my laptop just an expensive brick.

Thank you so much for your time and help.

Are you connecting through a router or sharing a connection with another computer?

EDIT:
Bit more googling done, I take no resposibity if you follow anything I say and crap your computer so dont touch if you dont know.

Seems the error is related to a problem with the master browser service. Open up Services.msc and have a look at "computer browser" service try enabling/disabling it, if your sharing your connection with another computer (I have a suspicion your networking with an XP machine) try the same on that one.

Thanks a lot, i had tried doing that on my machine however not on the other ones i share a network with.

Now i share a network with 3 XP machines and 1 OTHER Vista, do i have to turn it off on all machines, or just the XP ones?

Thanks so much by the way, just gotta wait and see if it drops out.

Your gonna have to trial and error it. First start by looking at all the computers and make sure the service is running correctly on all because ideally you would want to leave it running with the amount of computers your connecting (check the dependencies too Workstation, DCOM Server Process Launcher, Remote Procedure Call (RPC), Server, Security Accounts Manager, Network Store Interface Service). If your still having issues disable the computer browser service on all computers and try again. If this works enable it on one machine (if you have one computer which is on more than others use this one, not the laptop though).

If you can't fix it you may have some other issues interfering (check firewalls, antivirus, etc.)
