Default GW makes my computer shut down

Hi everyone,

There is something wrong with my computer, but I'm not sure what, so I'm here to see if anyone else has a second opinion about what is going on.

I started playing GW around may/june 2006, never had any problems with it until recently (mid december). About 30 minutes into playing/running GW, my entire computer should turn itself off. If I tried to turn it on right after, my computer would power up, but then die off again. If I let my computer sit for a while (5 min?) before turning it on again, it boots up fine.

my "super awesome" computer specs
intel celeron 2.66GHz
512RAM
vid card: Radeon x800

At first I thought it might be a power supply issue, but this has only happened when I was running GW, and one other time when a friend sent me a quicktime video trailer. I haven't had problems with my computer randomly dying on me using photoshop (working with high res mages) or watching other media files (though I haven't tried to watch a quicktime vid since). I don't think it is a heating issue either since my fan runs fine and my tower doesn't get that hot. I have left my computer on for 24h (without running GW once) and there were no problems.

I have since installed the latest drivers for my video card, and tested it out with GW again. Graphics were fine, but unfortunately, in 30 minutes, my computer shut itself off again.

I hope that I can actually find out what's wrong before dropping money on a video card (if that really is the problem)! And just for the record, I don't know a lot about computers!!

Thanks in advance for any help!

step 1: get canned air
step 2: unplug computer
step 3: open case and blow out all the dust.

suggestions: do this out side or in a garage and wear a dust mask.

if above doesn't solve issue get more ram. that is an onboard vid card (I believe). and you need more for sure.
