Default Random crashes

Is GW tend to crash a lot? I've been running GW on three different computers since release and the game always seems to crash. The first computer was a AMD AGP/ATI running Win2k, the second computer was an Intel AGP/ATI running WinXP and the third was a AMD PCI/NVIDIA running WinXP. All the computers were running with 2GB memory. All the computers were scanned with either Norton AV corporate or McAfee AV corporate and with both Spybot and AdAware (Neither set for live protection). All the computers were tested with antivirus turned on/off with the same results. All the computers have been defragged. Currently only the third listed computer has GW installed and the first listed computer has been retired. The second computer has GW installed on it a year ago. All three have experienced crashing during battles.

With my last two computers, they really didn't have any issues running EQ2, Vanguard, and WoW. I might crash out once every two weeks. But for some reason with GW I'm pretty much guaranteed to crash out at least once an evening.

The only two things I can think of is the sound card and the firewall. I'll have to try running the game with the sound card removed. I don't have the OS's firewall on since I'm using a Linksys router but I did test the game with the computer's port set in the DMZ zone with the OS's firewall turned on. The only thing left to do is bypass the Linksys totally and connect the computer directly to the cable modem port.

Does anybody else have any ideas what might be going wrong?

Yea I'm havin similar Issues with another pc. I've recently added a ATI Radeon 9600xt to the system.

Now i get blue screens, freezes, crashes and other anomylese. *scuse the spellin*

I'm not quite sure exactly what's causing these issues to occur. I'm running the latest and greatest DirectX drivers, Game was working just fine with a Nvidia. But Gw's was created on ATI was it not? Anyone else have anything to add to this, t'would be helpful.

The third and current computer is a AMD dual core. I've already downloaded the latest drive from AMD for the dual core to work correctly under WinXP.

you might wanna check the temperatures..
I used to get tons of bluescreens before, solved it with removing a piece of my chassi and buying another chassi fan.
use SpeedFan to check temps, alternate get a tool like atitool and -underclock- your gpx card. if you're a newbie with hardware and such, i would recommend you just to remove that chassi.
