Lightbulb HARDWARE LAG- 3 Hours?

Okay so I was playing Guild Wars for 3 hours...then all of a sudden I got a hardware lag..... anyone else have that problem? hence the name my pc's graphics card is terrible....but, the pc is 2006.

I have not even been able to log in for the last few hours - stuck at the 'Connecting to ArenaNet 0%' sreen.

That is interesting. I have never seen the "Hardware Lag" before either, but I would try taking a look inside the case and see if you have a lot of dust on the CPU heatsink. You could be experiencing heat related throttling of your processor. Also look at the cooling unit on your vid card. Depending on the card you may or may not be able to actually see the cooling fins, if the fins are encased like some of the highend cards. Get some canned air, remove the card from the computer being careful not shock the card with static electricity and blow the dust out of the cooler. Keep a finger on the fan to keep from overspinning when you blow air through it.
