Default GW .dat file

I am in the process of building some new PC's. Should I keep the .dat file so I don't have to download everything again? Thanks in advance.

it's a wise choice unless you want to d/l everything again. you can even burn it to a dvd if you like.

before you save the backup, it might be wise to use the -image switch as well.

Yeah I always use the -image. Then I just replace the new.dat with the old one correct?

Yes.

In fact, you can just copy your whole Guild Wars folder to your new computer.

Yup, used my iPod as an external HDD to get it over to a new PC.
