Default Seriously annoying me. (Graphics card)

The window goes funny flashes black and parts of windows disapear ect...I don't understand WHAT is happening, but all I do know is this: I can't go on the internet/anything else (except guild wars) without it going mad on me.
Also: sometimes when it finishes, the scrolling is laggy.

EDIT: screenies aren't working...-.-
In that case - the message says:
VPU rrecover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands.
Please tell ATI technologies about this problem.
The generated error report contains only system information such as driver version, AGP settings, graphics frame buffer size, ect. that will be used to analyze this problem. This report will be treated as annonymous.

I am using Radeon 9250.

Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, the 9250 is a Direct X 8.1 Card. And it doesn't support the current Shader Model 3.0/4.0. It would be helpful if you could post how much memory the card is, whether it's the 64mb or the 128mb versions. I had the 64mb one before and it barely was able to run medium settings with graphics.

But, I still think it's your card. The nVidia Geforece 7600G is only $59 at the moment, and it has a decent 256mb gpu, enough to run Guild Wars on High. I hope that fixes your problem.

It's not GW thats the problem, GW runs incredibly fine...it's just browsing anything BUT that, it starts going funny on me.

Odd.. really never heard of it, but sometimes the laptop does it while playing Guild Wars, very very rarely. I guess I'll just recommend what I usually do; http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html update the drivers. Just pick your specs and download the drivers for your card, then uninstall the old ones via Add/Remove programs, then install the new ones. Worth a shot?

Unfortunately...I used that, and went through it all on the most updated part...no dice.

That's because the site has edited the screenshot link and included that famous "GO RED ENGINE GO" phrase to it. Rename the screenshot and re-upload it.

Yeah, figured it wouldn't work. Just had to clear it up though.

Well I don't really know what the problem could be.. perhaps investigate some troubleshooting forums for your card. Sometimes you find useful info from people who have/had the same card.
