So my account has a name attached to it that I deleted not to long ago. A friend of mine wanted to use the name and told me that they can't because apparently I'm still using it.

Yes, the character name will still be tied to your account, I'm pretty sure its permenant? So your friend will have to try a slight variation on the name, try Y's or E's instead of Is etc.

There's a grace period attached to character names, allowing you to delete a character then re-make one with the same name, without some git nicking the name.

Can't remember how long - 12 hours maybe. Or maybe the period is up and someone else has already used the name.

[edit]No, Ku Ku - it's certainly not permanent.

Grace period is 1 hour. Seems short to me, but whatever, that's what Support told me.

Yes it is 1 hour. I had someone steal my 1st pvp char name I used. I deleted it then remade the pvp slot with a different name. Came back a few days and couldn't use the name. DAMN YOU Xx Monkie Xx!!! lol <3

Well it's been a day now and it's still tied to my account. and no one took it because it says I can't add myself as a friend.

maybe its glitch....and you used to be able to add yourself as friend ^^
