Default Comp for GW2

Hello all

I have kinda a dilemma. My old computer is hopelesly screwed so I need to buy a new one in the very near future. I want it to be able to play GW2 on reasonably high settings but what computer to buy is a bit of guesswork as no release date or system reqs have been released yet about GW2.

I had my eyes on this computer:

# Intel® Core™2 Quad Q6700 (4x 2,66 GHz)
# Legitimate Windows Vista® Home Premium
# 4 GB memory
# 1000 GB harddisk
# NVIDIA Graphics Plus GeForce® GTX260 896 MB

Do you guys reckon this will do fine? (no absolute certainties, I know)

I am sure that PC would be able to play GW2 on maximum settings (no AA/AF) up to 2560 by 1600 in all areas of the game. I am guessing you will be gaming at a 1680 by 1050 or 1920 by 1200/1080 though, so you will probably get maximum settings and some AA/AF. This assumes GW2 will be released in 2009.

It would be a good idea to post your budget, where your buying from, what items you already have and whether you need a prebuilt or can build yourself in order to get the best PC for your needs/budget. By the looks of it that PC is a prebuilt? The Q6700 is an older 65nm part (still very decent) but you wouldn't want to pay too much for it when newer 45nm parts are available. (65 and 45nm refer to the fabrication process - the size of the transistors - and smaller is better because it produces less heat (runs cooler) and can operate at higher frequencies (overclocks better).
