Default PSU Question

So, im finalizing my stuff and went back to look at PSUs again. I have decided that I want to go modular, and thought this one looked nice.
Being fairly unfamiliar with PSUs, I was looking at my cards req: PCI-E Power Connector 2 x 6 Pin
and my PSU choice has: PCI-E Connectors - 1 x 6Pin, 1 x 6+2Pin
Now......that is just the right amount for a single card. But in the nearish future, I intend to buy another card and run dual cards. So I will be missing power connectors for it. How can I deal with this lack? It seems odd that this PSU with 700 watts would lack a way to power a second card.

well that is a nice modular PSU that you have but if you plan to go with 2 GPUs in the future you are going to have to pony up for a more expensive PSU (esp. with today's higher powered video cards).

I'd suggest this one for you:

Alright, I have decided to bump up my power a bit....I admit in the beginning I was looking at a 650w..... PSUs are one of thie things I havnt taken the time to look into much compared to other stuff.

So here we have a Corsair 850w
And here we have a Mushkin 800w

Now I realize Corsair seems to be a favorite among PSU brands, but also cost more then I would like. On the other hand, id rather spend extra now and not have to deal with a big issue later. Im trusting my whole system to this thingy.

As far as the mushkin goes, well It gets good reviews, people seem happy, and I have seen the brand for a long time in the ram side of things (yes i realize ram != psu, but at least they dont seem to have a quality issue on that) Now, this mushkin is 800w, 50 less then the corsair, but it is a modular supply. Is it worth it to go with the mushkin, lose the 50 watts, save 30 bucks, and have a modular power supply? And do any of you have experience with mushkin psus? I am really leaning toward this mushkin.
~thanks

800W is fine for almost any system. unless you are running triple SLI or quad crossfire, that is.

Buy this one - I will swear by thermaltake PSUs and that is a great price right now..... if i were building a SLI/Crossfire system right now I would buy this exact PSU.

That is not a thermaltake, though. Its a brand I have never even heard of. Do elaborate on this, please.
This is especially interesting due to the fact that it gives me a 45$ discount with the card i already had picked out

My mistake there - sorry I was in a hurry and copied the wrong thing; I was pricing out 2 other computer builds and I mixed the Ctrl + Cs up I guess.

this is the one that I would get Thermaltake is a great brand and this is a good price although nearly double of that other one I posted.

if that is too much $$$, go with the Corsair you had first and scrap the modular thing - it's nice, but by no means a necessity imo.

Well elder, to late. I went ahead and looked at past reviews on it and they all seemed to be decent. Not enough reviews on newegg to be very revealing. Apparently its a big brand in Taiwan.

Combined with the 45$ off the gpu i was looking at.....well there was no way I was going to buy the 200$ psu anyway.
Anyways, I got this one...lets see what happens.
Lol @ me if it is made of fail.

On the bright side....I managed to keep the whole thing 36 cents under 1700$ Quite an accomplishment considering all the upgrades I did there at the end
