To play Gw and I don't mind but not too expensive I guess. Before I talk of budget what would play GW decently.

What's your definition of "not too expensive"? I ask because a mate of mine thinks that £300 is way too much yet I consider around the £1200 mark to be a good starting point for a good future proof system (that includes a monitor and the OS).

£400 would build a computer capable of playing GW, and older games.

Looking at £800+ for a modern machine.

That system is completely fine for running GW, except for the lack of dedicated graphics card. Do you have an AGP slot in that thing? Assuming you do, I'd recommend a GeForce 7600 GS. I got mine for $79 at Circuit City. 512 MB of ram. GW plays great on max settings with it.
