Default More problems with GW

I am repairing the dat archive daily, not sure why. as well as getting a video card cpu error every hour or so while logged into GW (does not happen with any other program) I have deleted the drivers for my video card about 50 times now to try and reinstall but each time it says I still have drivers installed on it which could cause a problem. (I have done a search and deleted everything that has my video card name and .files) and it still says drivers are present.

The blue screen still hits but it only happens every few weeks or so or whenever a GW update hits.

on top of it all my Guild Wars just crashes with a (GW.exe error) and I send the report to Anet each time but nothing has changed.

These are game stoping problems that I am trying everything I can think of to fix and am about to spend a big chunk of money and just upgrade my video card and ram even tho it is at 1 gig of ram and 512 video card.

any ideas would help

that's not the way to uninstall your video drivers.

restart into safe mode, go to your device manager or add and remove program, and uninstall it from there.

when I go to update the drivers it pops up with (you have previous drivers installed on your computer which could cause problems during the instillation.) and it does cause problems as you can tell. but I have completly removed all drivers related to my video card many many many times and it still says that mesg every time.

I will try the memory test and see.

If you are having to repair your archive frequently, you may be experiencing a problem with bad memory, or with a bad disk drive. Given that you also get regular blue screens, I would start with the memory.

You could run memtest86+ or Prime95 to test your rams.
