This is because of my internet or my graphics card, my computer is about 2 years old (along with the graphics card) and GW would run just fine, about 2 or 3 months ago my internet just died (still not sure why) i fixed that and then my graphics card started having issues (would earror and sometimes make me restart the computer) so i lowed everything that had to deal with the graphics on GW and still had some trouble.....still is, i rubber band most of the time ill hit 'W' to move and it will lag and ill be 20 feet from where i was before.

the internet runs just fine when im just broseing...which is what makes this so werid.

any ideas of the what the problem is?

Graphics card:Integrated ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 graphics.

Were there any other symptoms? Did this happen during a power outage? Have you encountered any blue screens?

Since you're on an express chipset can you post your laptops hardware specs? (Processor, HDD, RAM, OS). When the freeze occurs are you on AC power or battery? Is your connection wired or wireless (if wireless, what connection speeds do you receive)?

sorry went to sleep last night,um im not on a laptop and yes it was during a power outage.

What do you think, Tarun? Did the power outage mess up his mobo perhaps? And now it's causing other, seemingly unrelated, problems?

Sounds like that could be it. Or it messed up some of the RAM either on the gfx card or in the system.

I'm used to seeing XPRESS being on mobile/laptops. Interesting.

Since this occurred during a power outage, there's a few things that should be done.
A chkdsk /r should be run, this can be done via Start > Run > and entering

Code:

chkdsk /r

Another thing I would do, is completely remove any form of power from reaching the computer for half an hour. This is best done before going to sleep. Simply shut the computer down and unplug everything from the wall outlets. It may also help to unplug the cord from the power supply as well. This will get rid of any charge in the machine that may be the cause of these issues.

I'd like to find out what the graphics drivers are that are installed, the type of error messages and the exact codes from them. If a blue screen appears, I'd definitely like to see the file referenced and the STOP code too.

Be sure that Automatically Restart is disabled. To do this you can do the following:

Right click My Computer
Properties
Advanced tab
Startup and Recovery
Settings...
Uncheck the box beside "Automatically Restart".

If you want to discharge your machine, all you need to do is pull out the plug and then press the on button. Unless you do this, your computer will still be charged.

That's one of the many things you can do. You can also use a screwdriver and touch the PSU with the ground on it and discharge it.
