Default Intel Integrated

Previously, at the lowest resolutions, my work PC with integrated Intel graphics would play just fine. All of the sudden, today, it does not work. I get to the login screen, then char select and then it crashes after I select a char. It gives me a graphics error and a link to this page.

Did ANet change something recently?

**EDIT** This is only happening when I choose my character that happens to be in Rata Sum right now... all my other characters work... There must be some graphical THING in Rata Sum that my comp can't handle...

Anet probably hasn't changed anything; this is very likely the old Intel video driver bug that also causes a crash in Wehhan Terraces.

Some people seem to have worked around the bug using some tool called "3D Analyze". See this thread for details of the hack.

Maybe something got corrupted... did you follow the instructions?

Just uninstall the driver and let it reinstall itself.

This is a known bug for Intel Integrated chipsets. There is a graphical feature in Rata Sum that causes it to crash, but I don't remember the hot fix for it, maybe someone does?

newegg.com get a graphics card, anything is better than putting up with the laggy caca onboard graphics provides. I had the issue with an area in the tormented realm, I had a friend log in for me to run me through it so i could continue. I got a cheapy ($24) 9600 ATI on E-bay til I got my new rig setup, but was hell a ton better than onboard...shudders the thought of going back to that....

Um thanks... its my work PC so I don't really care. I just log on at lunch and maybe sell some stuff... my home primary rig is just fine.

If anyone knows about this, I'd greatly appreciate it...

try this, create a shortcut of GW.exe
1)Right-click the Guild Wars icon.
2)Select 'Properties'.
3)Select the 'Shortcut' tab.
4)In the 'Target' field... "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -noshaders

didn't work for me when i had the problem maybe you'll have better luck
also curious if it was the first time you tried loading Rata Sum from work?

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...light=Intel%3F

Here I found the thread, this person couldn't load into Rata Sum with their Intel chipset either.

Maybe information posted there will help you.
