I can assume you are talking about the Ultra 1600w which does in fact have a 88% effecienty rating. On a standard wall outlet it puts out max at 1300w due to regulations, however on a 220a it will put out max.

Bah, you foreigners and your trifling 110V supplies.

Come to the UK where 240V is where it's at!

Hehe.

Really? I didn't spring for it because they told me 79% at max, but around ~80% around 800 (which is what I use)

Here's the chart I looked at before. Maybe this is from a standard outlet?

A ridiculously overpowered one. Crysis is for next-gen machines. It wants 4 99xx in quad-SLI, the CPU that's due out next year and DDR4.

It was a test on how high they could push graphics - nobody can play it with everything maxed at anything over 40fps.

The following three posts will call me a liar and prove me wrong - I DARES YA!

I completely agree! Even the guys at Crytek stated that no matter what system you run it on in the next year or two they can bring it to it's knees with Crysis.

And this is at the wall, folks. PSUs are at best around 80% efficient, so the actual internal PC power consumption will be 20%+ lower. A SLI rig should be fine with a decent 600W PSU. You do need one with dual power connectors, and they don't show up until around that wattage.

Just make sure you buy a quality PSU. That's what's most important.
