Default redundant lag with crappy virgin internet?

anyone else having this problem with virgin and there crap internet provisions?

or is there something I can do other then yell at the retards in India that don't speak a word of english about why there internet is so crap? and have them say "I don't know what you can do" (real life experience, I enquired about why there internet was so slow in my area and they said "i don't know what to do about that..."

any idea on how to get this crap internet to run...if not im gonna rage quit GWs cause the lag is so redundant its ruining my game-play!

and FYI have minimal ping and no background dls so thats not the cause...

got a very U2D computer with massive memory / RAM etc..

anything other then rage at virgin employees in India or some other communist country?

i have virgin net and i do sumtimes suffer from extreme lag, phoned up the prats in india and ended up breaking the phone i was that annoyed with them not having a clue wht i was saying, in the i just stopped playing when the lag started happening and after a few hours it stopped so i could play again.

I dnt have that problem anymore and i dint do anythin to ma pc or anything so all i can say is wait it out and it should sort its self out, it could be they are doing maintenence in ur area. How long has it been going on for?

lol we have 20mb broadband and my average ping is about 100 tops

but good ol' virgin manage to do something wrong, last night i could MOVE because of the lag i had. its disgraceful, and with all the ''randomly cuts out'' phases where my internet doesnt work, it sucks. alot.

''Join the fastest broadband provider, today''
what it should say is

''virgin is like IE, its relatively fast, but isnt protected against anything that may RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up your online experience''

Yeah when i had virgin a few months back i also had the constant lag, my xbox live would be on red bar all the time and my ping on guild wars or vent would be sky high (on gw at least 300). It happened for a couple of months with me and i ended up changing to BT and its perfect now. The reason i got was that if i have used alot of bandwith then i would get a very bad connection and my guess was that i download torrents very regularly so i got a bad connection from them, but that was annoying as i had unlimited usage and had never heard about it before.

I'm with Virgin Media too and they're a nightmare when you have an issue. The call centre Indian people have no clue and don't understand Scottish accents because they're taught English by watching Eastenders and Corrie.

They have a tendency to slow your connection down if you're a heavy downloader - something to do with their fair usage policy. Unlimited, my ass.

Ask them to turn "interleaving" off on your line. However, whilst it may lower your latancy it may also make your line less stable giving you more synching dropouts and the like. It's a gamble really.
