Default Firefox 3 RC 1 out now!

All you geeks and techies probably already know this (and have probably been using beta 5) - but this is the release candidate.

Hmm, I'm in no rush to get it.. still haven't got SP3 on Windows XP yet either.. I'm still with the ''If it isn't broke, don't fix it'' mindset right now, I don't want to fiddle with things right now heh.

FF3 is just as safe though, correct?

SP3 has caused me loads of problems - so I'm still on 2... and yeah, pretty interested in FF3 - It's about 4:30 in the morning now though, so guess I'll get it tomorrow ^_^

My OcUK and CustomiseGoogle extensions don't work with it, that's why I'm holding out for now.

Just get the Nightly Tester Tools extension and they can make the extensions work just fine.

For those who are having issues with XP SP3, what sort of issues are they?

Brianna, unless you're on an HP with an AMD processor, you should upgrade to SP3.

One of the guys over at the OcUK forums wrote a decent little extension that allows you to navigate the forums, and the shop, with ease.

http://www.fwibble.org/projects.php

Just install it and it puts a drop-down menu at the top of Firefox, next to the "Help" menu.

I do have an AMD processor in both of my computers, but they are both custom, so I think I would be fine upgrading - I just don't see the point.

As for FF3 again, I don't use plugins or add-ons, so I would be fine getting that too, later I'll test it out on my other computer to see how it is.

Fasterfox and DownthemAll works for me.
Also I like the address bar search so you dont need to put www.123124.com in. just put 123124 and it will be there

The intuitive search is superb - don't know how I lived without it!

Don't use Fasterfox, ever. Heck, with Fx3 you don't even need to do any tweaking.
