Question system requirements for GW2

I was wondering if the powers that be have any idea what kind of system requirements will be needed for GW2. As I might be purchasing a new computer, and want to make sure I am covered.

Nope.

We know that it will support DX10, so anything that's a good spec now will do the job.

I would suggest saving your money on a computer for a while.

DDR3 RAM is getting cheaper, waiting for the 9800s to drop in price will be worth it also.

Its still expensive for a 2x2 Gb kit, and the best 2x2 Gb kit of DDR2 ram (OCZ Flex II) costs the same as average 2x1 Gb DDR3 ram and the Flex II is far far better.

The 9800's are also a waste of money. It is much better to SLI a pair of 8800 GT's or even 9600 GT's for less and they outperform it in most modern games.

Fairly low. GW is aimed at the masses.

7xxx series
2gb ram
5gb HDD space

I'd say that is reasonable, considering you're looking at another 1-2 years before GW2 is released.

If your purchasing a new computer, can you tell us what your main use will be? Also, what games you play or types.

If you want a computer for GW2, I wouldn't make a move until GW2 is released. By that time newer stuff like DDR3, multi core GPUs, and octo-core (I think) should be more popular and much more reasonable in price.
