every time i open a forum (eg Riverside Inn) or View a topic IE7 will freeze for approxmetly 20 seconds (Saying "NOT RESPONDING") rendering me helpless so i cant just tab to another website.

i checked my computer its fine. there is no dodgey procesess running in the background the only program currtenly open is IE7

Now

Nothing is wrong, if you insist on IE7, you must insist on the wait.

Just wait for IE7 to respond again.

A couple of suggestions to try:

- Have you cleared IE's cache? a full/large Temporary Browseing History cache can cause slowdowns.
- Have you at any point tweaked with IE's security, privacy, advanced, proxy, etc settings? If so, try defaulting IE hack to factory defaults.

With IE7 you can easily do both by going

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset

This will clear cache, delete cookies, reset all settings back to factory defaults, etc. so if the cache or setytings were causing the issue, that could resolve it for you.
