Okay. I do use TexMod.
I turn on game, log in, click character, bar on bottom of loading screen fills up, and then SHLBLAM, the game crashes, and this messagebox shows up asking for some bug thing like "would you like to send this bug info to arenanet?"
I tried the game WITH and WITHOUT TexMod on, both doesn't work.

The .dat file may be corrupted, it's in the Guild Wars folder. You can re-download the file and see if that helps.

Or go read the crash report that it puts there, there should be a .text folder, maybe you can attach it here so we can read it.

Ok this error pop uped for me for about, 2 months. I have a 780i motherboard.

It turned out that I had a stable overclock for everything except guildwars . This made no sence at all to me and still does not.

This was also during my run of nvldlkm errors. For me I flashed my bios to the p04 and it all went away. I almost sent a hate e-mail to nvidia but decided not to.

Anyways I am told repeatedly to flash over to the p05 bios, which I have tried. The p05 ran my cpu 10c hotter and disabled my support for 8gigs of ram.

FACTS:
(Yes, I know that I can enter the timings mannually but 2 things, 1: The unsupported line during boot makes me insainly angry as in, "ZAMIAL SMASH!!!" 2: It disables functionallity. So, I switched back to p04. P05 fixed a video corruption bug during dvd playback, I have an actual dvd player *gasp* hooked up to a TV. If I want to watch a movie I turn off my comp and head to the couch. Wear and tear on my dvd player and tv is way less than my computer and I do not download illegal items. P05 has nothing, and I mean no benifit, for me at all. If there is another benifit to using this bios that I am unaware of please do tell what it is. As far as I am concerned, someone with my set-up that has paid for, and per advertised on the nvidia site and the sites that sell there product, should sue for false advertising as with the p05 bios it disables items that they claim the board supports. If the board doesn't actually support this, they should recall the ENTIRE lot of them and replace them with a product that does what this 1 claims to do. I have wasted months of my life chasing nvldlkm errors, thinking it was my fault just to find out it was crap-o-la drivers. This is a sore spot for me perhaps when nvidia releases the p06 bios I will be satisfide only time will tell. )

anyway I was also getting that gw error during that time. Please list at a minnimum your mobo, graphics card, and cpu makes and models along with any overclocking.

yep remember that error zamial from on my old K8V board

but sounds like a stable overclock except for certain programs problem (had it happen a couple of times with Zero Hour)

Well, if you are overclocking then you really reeeaaallly need to stress test the living crap outta your system. Programs like Prime95 are a good start. For real testing though I personally say play all your games on MAX settings, even if the game runs semi-crappy to really throw that "real world" torture test at it. I have had many cases where I have had an OC that ran P95 and other torture tests for 24 hours plus crash on gaming. Most stress tests can only hit parts of your system. Memtest for, well, memory. OCCT or P95 for more CPU but also some ram testing. Very few things max out everything in a PC like hardcore gaming.
However, if you are not overclocking then we need to look in other directions. Heat issues, faulty ram sticks, power supply rail sagging under load etc. So let us know if this is an OCing issue or we need to look deeper.

*edit*
I am just not a fan of flashing PC's that need to work myself Zamiel. On my OCing systems I change bioses as often as underwear sometimes. On a couple PC's I even have spare bios EPROMS with original or prefered bios versions because I have borked bioses before. On any PC that is actually used(my htpc, gaming pc, work lappy) than I honestly can't remember the last time I flashed a new bios. I know tons of people say to always grab the new bioses but unless there is a "problem" that a new bios fixes...don't mess with it. Just a personal rule of thumb.

We need your system's information (type of mobo, type of CPU, type of graphic's processor, ...). We don't need your computer name or IP adress, although it wouldn't matter if you did reveal that information either.
