Default Razer Mouse Macro Stopped Working

Hi there, everything seemed fine 'til yesterday when my auto-attack (spacebar + C) button up and quit working in Guild Wars. I thought it might be the mouse or software but the button works fine in other applications (including while typing here.) I'm using a Razer Diamondback mouse and my OS is Windows Vista x64.

I'm wondering if a hidden update may have caused this or has anyone else experienced similar problems recently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, TT.

Check the key assignments in GW itself - the defaults for call and attack may have got changed.

On rare occasions I had the same problem with my Sidewinder, but that was caused by a mysterious unmarked button that changes macros on the fly

I thought that might be it as well but when I hold Space and C it actually targets *shrugs* This one kinda has me stumped. It won't even allow me to 'type' it if I click on the chat box and then click the side button. AFAIK it just stopped working one day which leads me to wonder if GW changed anything secretly.

I would suggest searching www.razersupport.com and finding the latest drivers/software for that mouse. Even if you already have the latest, I would try re-installing them.

Guildwars hates marcos and bots. They disabled the functionality. I think they can read my mind. Noone is safe. Quickly, we need tinfoil hats. the end is nigh! the end is nigh! lol j/k

Seriously, it has to be a setting, a driver, or a windows update that is giving you greif. I would bet on a setting/driver.

I know a lot of programs have a problem with mouse buttons >3. I find with a lot of progs that I can't assign stuff ingame to MB4 or MB5, but it is fine if I assign a keypress to those buttons via the mouse software, then assign that keypress ingame.

Annoying, but it works.

Yeah I suggest you check the button assignment in Guild Wars as well. I use a Razer mouse, and my macros work just fine (granted they aren't set to attack).

I find it more useful to assign those buttons to target nearest and next - ctrl is always a pinkie stretch away from WASD

Button assignment works when I click the Space Button and C, for some reason the mouse just wont work at all (save moving the cursor) in Guild Wars. I'm assuming its client related and will reinstall when the weekend's festival is over. The only other thing I can think of is that it's something to do with Vista allowing the mouse to work in the GW client *shrugs*
