hi everyone, im hoping someone can help me. am having problems connecting to areanet. when i start the program, the "connecting to areanet" dialog pops. i get no errors, but it never gets past 0%. i am using HUAWEI HSDPA USB modem to connect to the internet. i know i have a connection, because i am able to see other web pages. please help

i have a current ticket open with plaync but they have not been able to solve the problem yet. i am also talking with my isp and they are trying to figure out the problem. they asked me to find out the full name of the server im trying to connect to, or the ip address. does anyone else know it?

also, the plaync rep said that i need tcp port 6112 and 80 open but my isp said i should not be using that protocal and that the game should have a way to change how it connects? any help?

you might have your Anti virus program defencing that you cant connect net with gw client, check your Anti virus

ok, my isp just told me that ports 6112 and 80 or fully open but they are unable to bypass the proxy. what does this meat and what can i do?

I had to do this too, but unfortunately I don't remember how I did it. Once I get home I'll research some more and post back. It's actually quite simple once you find how to change your ports.
