Over here, I'm not gonna stop playing because I love playing GW so much, but I'll play less. I've had 040 spikes in the last two days.

Ive been having similar problems, yesterday the lag playing was terrible (often spiking in the thousands) and all the members of our guild noticed the guild chat was really laggy also (often having to wait a while for all of our chat text to come up, although when we were in our guild hall and spoke on local chat there was no chat lag), i came off last night thinking thats today would be a new day for GW and i was hoping the lag would go. Well ive come on today to find i cant even get onto GW after repeated attempts to connect over 30 min or so. All the other programs i have that connect to the internet are working fine, its just GW. I was looking forward to playing today

I can play just fine on Asia - Traditional Chinese - District 1

I switched there once I managed to slip through the cracks in the error 40 wall.

Error 040 here to europe servers, 1 char is in GH and 1 char is in Kamadan, cant login to both

At least if it was error 42 it'd make me smile but when it takes me 2 minutes to get the loading screen and another 2 for it to give me a code 40 it kinda annoys me :/
I guess i'll do something else. Any news on the problem, even if it is not Anet related (routing issues as it happened before) would be appreciated

EDIT: AHAHAHAHAHAH I just when in Obs mode, it was laggy as hell, so I left the game on and went to do something else. When I came back the game was still on but nothing was moving. Suddently veerything moved very fast. I just saw 18 minutes in about 3.

Im having issues too. Right now I am in lions arch , just switched from american to europe english, i choose the default active district
but the district name is greyed out and keeps saying Reattempting connection to the server (code 13).
I can move around and atm i can chat, but if i try to leave through gate it says my party is already waiting to enter a mission and drags me back in.

I have also had lag spikes and chat working erratically or not at all.

I just hope that some anet staff sees this thread growing and start working on it^^

I finally got on, loaded up my char, and im standing in my Guild Hall, after all the issues ive had connecting i thought i test it, so i ran around my guild hall...lag not so bad...then i decided to speak to my alliance and see if they been having any issues...i type my message in and i get told that "Only Officers and Guild Leader can use alliance chat"...hummm that strange cause last time i checked i was the guild leader :P... Oh well i thought, i go kill something...surprise surprise im kicked off...happy days!

Now wheres my copy of Baldur's Gate 2 gone!

I've encountered several 040's last night, both in international and american districts (RA mind you). 90% of the time its just before I'm loading a new instance.

Also error #013 (stuck on 0% loading, network timeout, cant find game specified)

Ok no disconnect errors here but 19000 ms (and a lot of stalls on loads) RA impossible at this point

Chat lag, game crashes, guild loss, not loading into areas and general errors.

And that just the new things, ive been having 200+ ping and rubber banding for 2 years now, i think its just a slow decay, reducing costs at the expense of quality.

Today I am getting 007. Can't get past initial log on from character selection music starts but all i see is 100% load bar. GW.exe is zapping all resources as well when trying to load. Also seeing some weird looking Lu Com Server_3_4.EXE do not remember any thing like these running before, but I did also install some Fire Fox Add-Ons so it could be that

edit- finally was able to log on but pathetic connection not stable at all
