Is this only a problem with Guild Wars so far? Try other games and see if they run.

What version of Windows are you running? If XP, make sure you install SP3, if Vista, SP1.

better question is: did you reinstall your graphic card (and chipset) drivers? you can't play without them.

it won't cost you anything, just go search on google.

providing you know the graphic card and motherboard models, of course.

well... no.

open dxdiag, take a screenshot of your "System" and "Display" tabs, and then post both screenshots here. without knowing your exact system specs, it will be impossible to find the right drivers for you.

if you don't know where to find dxdiag:
-in windows xp, click start->run, and type dxdiag, and click run
-in windows vista, click start, and type dxdiag into the search bar, and press enter

You're using a pre-built system are you not? If so, see if theres a disk that came with the computer. Chances are good you have a disk somewhere with the drivers on it. Yea they're a bit out of date, but it should suffice if it worked beforehand. If you can i'd suggest downloading new ones, but you'd first want to check and make sure you're missing them at all.

Right click "Computer" aka "My Computer", open the device manager, click the arrow next to "Display Adaptors", right click on whatever it gives you and click properties. Now click on the "Drivers" tab in that window, and type out exactly whatever driver provider / version it says.

right click on your "my computer" icon, and click on properties. it should open up a window with a bunch of tabs. click through each tab until you find a button that's called "device manager", or something like that. click on the button and look under display adaptor.

You're missing the drivers then. Download this, it should tell you what GPU you're running. So that we can point you in the right direction driver wise.

do you still know the model number of your computer? i'm assuming its a brand name pre assembled PC. look at the front panel of the PC and see if you can see a brand and model number, and post it here.

assuming that you haven't upgraded your graphics card and still uses winXP, here are the drivers you need:

chipset: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/down...ems&lang =eng

graphics: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/down...ems&la ng=eng

you need to download and install them. install the chipset drivers first, then restart, then install the graphics drivers, and restart again.

if everything goes well, it should work.
