Default NOD32 3.0 and GW

I had NOD32 2.7 and ran GW perfectly while it was on. But Windows told me to update my scanner because it's version was old, so I updated to NOD32 3.0 and now I have to turn it off before playing GW because I get a 007 error every time I log in. Sometimes it passes and I'll get an 007 error when zoning somewhere. Does anyone have NOD32 3.0 and know how to fix it without turning the virus protection off? I don't feel safe without it on . I could play CoD4 online without having any connection/internet problems.

It won't be the anti-virus part of NOD32, rather the IMON internet monitoring portion, I suspect. My NOD32 3.0 causes no problems with GW and it runs with default settings. Are you just using NOD32, or the whole "Smart Security" package?

I posted this in another thread;

1) Open the NOD32 window
2) Go to 'Enter entire advanced setup tree..'
3) Go to 'Protocol Filtering' under 'Antivirus and antispyware' settings, 4 down from 'Web access protection'
4) Change the 'Redirect traffic for checking for' from the default (HTTP and POP3 ports) to 'Applications marked as Internet browsers and email clients'.

and;

Try adding gw.exe to the exclusion list as well, as far as I can remember I did that before I found the port option. I was having the same problems you were, in that I either wouldn't connect, or I would err7.

NOD32 is actually the antivirus that uses the less system ressources.
I've been using it since version 2.5 and never had a problem with it.

avast uses more RAM, and detects far less viruses and such...so uh...why would he want to swap?

Couse NOD is one the far low quality programs in the word + uses insane amount of ram.

But he fixed it, so lets not fight

Yup, thread over, but still time to tell you that you're totally mistaken, AncientLord. NOD32 is generally accepted as being one of the best AV products on the market and certainly, without a shadow of a doubt, uses less system resources than any popular AV solution.

To avoid any confusion:

Nod32=/=Norton

Norton is bad. Nod32 is easily one of the best.
