Default Did they ever fix that problem with Avast antivirus?

Hi, a few months ago, people (including myself) were having problems with Avast. It would cause severe keyboard lag while running GW, and in my case would often lock it up. So after I heard Avast was the problem, I switched to AVG. It's alright, but to be honest, I kinda miss Avast. Especially since AVG had some "missing a .bin file" bug a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know if they fixed that problem?

If not, are there any other good virus-protection programs you can recommend?

Note: In case you haven't notice, I'm no expert when it comes to virus-protection.

I have never heard of any such problems with avast. For a while I used it on my server and had GW there with no such issues.

Never heard of that me too. And to answer your last question, AntiVir is a good free one, while Kaspersky and NOD32 are good paying ones.

Hmmm that's weird that neither of you had any problems. Here's a thread about it:

I also heard about some WoW players having similar problems.

Regardless, if I can find a good replacement, I'll be happy. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

From what I have heard, the problem is mostly with USB keyboards. But yeah, it is an issue and so far there is no known fix that corrects it other than turning off the services or uninstalling it.
Which really sucks because it is the best 64Bit AV around.
