Default Dropping Connection Problems

I've played Guild Wars on and off since it first came out, and I haven't any issues quite like this before and was wondering if anyone can help me find a solution.

My Brother-in-law, who is living with us as he waits for boot-camp, decided he wants a LDoA (level 20 in pre-searing): As I have a character going for the title also, we've been working on it together.

The Problem happens every time I attempt to set up for death leveling. at some point during setup, I WILL lose connection. Every Time, and I don't know why.
At first I thought it was normal connection issues. It was unusual only in that it would allow me to try reconnecting only once before booting me out to the logon screen (I forget the error code it gives me, I'll update next time it happens). What really burns me up is that once I log back in, it will not attempt to reconnect me to my session as normal.

2 nights ago, my brother-in-law and I were working together to set up for death leveling, and when I disconnected, he did not. - He is on the same net connection as I, the only difference being that his machine is connected one port over on the switch from mine: same firewall, etc. We are also running the same OS, Vista Ultimate x64, although he has a newer installation.
When I disconnected, his screen did not show that I had, not "XXX has lost communication with the server" or anything like that. My toon continued to stand there like nothing was wrong until I got kicked back to the logon screen and logged back in.
Once I logged in, it again brought me to the character select screen instead of attempting to reconnect to the previous session, and on my B-i-L's comp I greyed out and "XXX has left the game." showed up.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I'm running GW, previously -imaged, straight without Texmod, on Vista Ultimate x64. I have no Viruses according to AVG and no Spyware according to Spybot S&D. My only running TSRs are AVG, Spybot teatimer, and Rocketdock (a OSX-like dock for Windows, should not affect GW). Machine is a DIY, with an Athlon 64 x2 BE-235 running at 2.31Ghz, 3 G ram (2 1G sticks paired, 2 512M sticks paired) a SB Audigy sound card, and a XFX 8800 GTX 512Meg on an Asus M2N-E SLI motherboard.

Thank you for any suggestions, and I'll update with the error code as soon as it happens again, though I haven't played in the past 2 days because of how frustrating this issue has become.

This has been happening to me as well, though only a few times, and in random places. More commonly when running Slaver's Exile. Same symptoms as well. No reconnect attempt, just an error with disconnect, and puts me back at login screen. Logging in just puts me at character select. Irritating to say the least. Just started happening within the past month, and only on one computer at a time while others in the house are still playing. Same as your issue. Again, only difference is, the computer it happens to is random amongst the other 4 in the house being used at the same time.
