if a game works perfectly as a demo is it a decently safe assumption that the real deal will work well enough?

my onboard graphics card is quite the fickle collaborator.

I've gone there and it's been wrong before.

It says I can't play Guild Wars EotN...which is horribly wrong. It says I can't play Rome:Total War, which is wrong. It says I can play Age of Empires III, which is wrong. It says I can't play Sins of a Solar Empire (the game in question), and the demo's working perfectly, perfectly enough that I'll probably get the game tomorrow.

Not to shove it in your face Tarun, you've helped me before, but that site is sort of screwy.

But thanks for feedback...I checked other forums, and many others have stated that SoaSE plays on my machine...a guy with an identical machine stated he could, and the demo's working, so I'm hoping that the real deal won't be a problem.

If the demo works than you are almost assuredly safe with the real game. That is one of the reasons why they release demos - but be sure to do your homework beforehand as well (it appears you have too

Full versions of games usually play better than demos in my experience, due to coding.

I tested my pc(which is also fickle and old) with the SoaSE demo as well before buying it. Didn't notice a drop in performance between demo and retail.
