Default Synergy: The most awesome network application ever for dual boxing.

Hi all. I was referred by a friend, a program called synergy. He told me this program lets you basically jump over to another pc on the network (or more practically, the one beside you) and use the mouse over there flawlessly with no latency as if its the same PC. Curiously I looked it up, installed on both PC's and got it running. With this awesome stuff running I only need one set of k/b and mouse but can have two mor more PC's running side by side will full control over both. And with that In mind DualBoxing just got more awesome. I just tried GW, now switching to the other pc will minimize GW BUT running both PC's GW in Window mode will prevent minimize.

100% No Bullshit virtual KVM switch.

The program I believe is a few years old, been around and theres a few good stable releases.

Check it out guys. I wanted to suggest this for anyone who has to suffer with having two k/b and mice on their desk if they dual box GW. Or just simply use two PC's.

If you leave your mouse and k/b connected and set over on the other PC, leaving it idle will actually stop packet flow, it only sends packets when you move the mouse, so no wasted bandwidth while running the program idle and not being on that PC (or leaving the room with the mouse pointer on that PC)

Also, guys...one HUGE IMPORTANT thing to know is the connection is NOT encrypted. So ANYTHING you type can be sniffed with a protocol analyzer easily like WireShark. So keep in mind, if you are on a shared N/W do NOT type in anything you don't want someone else to see (like your bank account, GW pass, email pass, etc.) If you are on a home network and you are the only one who uses it, maybe it's wireless maybe it's not, it's a tad bit safer, but keep the other PC's actual K/B and mouse on hand somewhere below your desk or whatever to log into the important stuff.

If my camera had good batteries in it and I wasn't this lazy I'd make a video of this but Hope you find this as handy and awesome as I do.
