Uninstalling Trend Micro
Hey all, I've got a laptop here that has Trend Micro that came shipped with it, however I'm trying to uninstall it so I can put kaspersky on the laptop and none of the normal methods like add/remove programs and the TM uninstaller that shipped with my PC worked.
Anyone have any better solutions? |

I've yet to deal with Trend Micro.
before uninstalling have you tried to kill it's processes [then uninstall]? have you tried uninstalling in safe mode? do you have/run an admin account/account w/permissions allowing you the ability to uninstall applications? |

Flubber, it wasn't on according to windows, but I haven't tried safe mode.
Tarun, I tried the toolkit but it didn't work and it stopped working partway through the uninstall several times. |

If it's the "HijackIt" by Trend Micro, I would most definitely keep it.
