Default CoD4, Master refresh problem

Sorry if this belongs in off-topic.

I installed the game and Punk Buster great with no errors or anything. However, if I attempt to refresh the server list to find servers to join I get nothing. No errors come up or anything it simply states that the list successfully refreshed at <insert time here> and displays absolutely no servers. It then will decide to randomly work and actually refresh the list and display servers only to have them all disappear again as if to tease me.

Please note that I'm only recently reinstalling. It worked flawlessly a week ago.
PB is up to date, my firewall is fine, and I even DL'ed the v1.7 patch to see if it did the same thing on that, it did. Other games work just fine.

I can't really think of much that could have changed since the time I uninstalled to the time I reinstalled except for one thing:

Upon downloading League Of Legends (from the official site mind you) I noticed my ping in every game shoot WAY up (even when LoL wasn't running) Upon opening up my task manager I noticed that those savvy folks down at Riot ninja installed something called Pando Media Booster whilst downloading LoL. PMB absolutely DEVOURED my bandwidth while it was running. Needles to say I ended the process and uninstalled it from the control panel. I then scoured my PC and removed anything left behind as well as run a scan just to be on the safe side. A Google revealed that it is actually installed with the new LoL downloader (without your permission btw) And other people have had the same problem. Since it's removal I haven't had any problems.

I really have no idea what to do here.

See that there? That's where you agree to its use. It comes up before Pando is installed. By installing you agree to

It's also not very ninja at all. The first thing it will say is Installing Pando.

Thanks for attempting to answer my question. But, for the record http://www.leagueoflegends.com/legal/termsofuse doesn't even mention the word Pando once. I don't quite care what Pando's TOS is. I didn't set out to download Pando. I set out to download LoL... And ended up with Pando, that's the problem. Enough with TOS jargon...

Pando's become more and more popular. They didn't "ninja" it in there. You just didn't pay attention to the installation. I did. I saw them install pando. I let it run its course then I went and uninstalled it.

And your question seemed to be the "I really have no idea what to do here. " which I answered when I said your free to uninstall it at any time. I uninstalled it and had no problem playing LoL. But don't blame them when it said fairly clearly that it was installing pando and you had every ability to stop it.

edit: also in the ToS its considered part of The "Software"

edit of the edit: you may wish to remove the SmartShopper application that it did install also. It's kinda adware but not to horribad.

I would like to note I don't work for pando, hell. I'm not even a fan of pando. But it's the way some game companies are doing things these days and it really does speed up the download of the game files.
