Wehhan Terraces crashes my game . . .
Hello all,
I just beat Moddok with my ritualist, and as I was travelling to Wehhan Terraces, I got a message saying there was a graphical error. Then my game closes. Everything other character / outpost works fine, but when I bring someone there, it crashes. One by one, Wehhan Terraces is trying to eat my characters! Any suggestions?

You will probably need to put in more information regarding your computer before anyone could answer you. However, awhile ago, I had a similar problem with getting into Borliss Pass where the game would crash. I play on my laptop. This is what Anet told me:
Intel cards are not officially supported. While they often run the game just fine, there are areas such as Wehann Terrace and Rata Sum where they simply lack the performance necessary to run the game properly. This causes issues such as the one you are experiencing.

As above ^^, I suspect you have on-board graphics. I'm not sure if there is a fix for this other than getting a real video card (desktop) or a better laptop.

there is a program called 3danalyzer that can allow you to play those areas. however, the results can be very strange, and it most definitely harm your computer in the long run.
these are the settings you must use:

Wouldn't "Emulate HW T&L" help as well? One of the worst thing about Intel graphics sets is the lack of hardware accelerated transform & lighting.

well, the settings above effectively disables T&L, which is much better performance wise than emulating it.

Thanks for the help, and yes I do have onboard graphics. Looks like I will have to hold out til I get my new laptop since updating the drivers didn't work. Good thing I was planning on it anyways . . . . :-)

Do you have an Intel GMA 950? or similar series? That's what I had on one of my old rigs back when NF first came out, and I had the exact problem that you do.
I ended up using the software that Moriz suggested - it worked great for a couple months, and then I started playing on a different pc. You could always use that just long enough to get through that area. I think once, you reach Kodash Bazaar you should be fine without it again.
