Default Can't see emotes?

I wasn't sure where to put this but since no one else seems to be having this problem, I'm guessing it has something to do with my box. I've only just found this out yesterday but for some reason there is a number of female ranger emotes that I can't see. The emote text displays in the chat panel but the character just stands there doing nothing. I've tried this on several other of my characters and none seem to be having this problem, only the ranger. Any idea what could be wrong? Could my data image be corrupted? The log is empty so there's no indication that the files are missing or unreadable and the game doesn't crash so...

Here's a full list of emotes I can't see if it matters.
Code:
/agree
/attention
/boo
/head
/breath
/cough
/doubletake
/drums
/excited
/flex
/flute
/goteam
/five
/paper
/ready
/rock
/scissors
/scratch
/taunt
/violin

Yeah, emotes not displaying can only really lead to one explanation: Some corrupted .dat files.

I'm not sure why this happens so often, in 3 years I don't think I'd ever had a corrupt .dat file.. but yeah, that is more than likely your problem. It doesn't show any logs or anything, and depending on what got corrupted it will/wont crash.

Perhaps just delete the .dat and redownload it? I usually installed it from the EoTN CD because that has the most files on it, and after that I only had to image like 5,000 files.

Hrm, I suppose I could try that. It's a rather lengthy and tedious process though.

Yeah I know, it really does suck. I hate doing anything that inconveniences me on my computer but once it annoys me enough I'll finally give in lol.

If you do re-download your .dat file, take a copy of it when it's done and make a backup of it somewhere else, so in the future you can save yourself from downloading like 80,000 files or whatever it is. Even if it gets a little out of date, it's a lot less than starting from scratch.

Not really a problem, I have my own GW:EN disc too. :P I've already copied it and re-downloaded those 7k files (which only took a few minutes at this time of the day) and the problem was fixed. Strangely the data file is now twice as small as it used to be (I've heard of the bloated image file problem before too, just didn't think I also had it), not that I'm complaining.

Ahh well I'm glad that fixed it.

Yeah I've had a bloated .dat file before, it was like 5.7k or something insane, but that was a very long time ago (year+ ago) or something, so it's long gone.

I'm having the same sort of issue...pretty much my female paragon attack/run animations are missing...i'm sitting there in combat and I don't see my character attacking or running...just standing there at the ready. It's the same for other female paras I observe. I've downloaded the .dat file recently too, and I'm having this same problem on both of my computers.

Happened to me before, and it's busted again now. I had to delete my .dat file, and download it all again. PITFA, to be sure.

I've had this happen for Female Monks, and some other emotes. But I can't be bothered reinstalling and -imageing, because it doesn't affect anything at all other than emotes I don't care about.
