Default Improving texture quality?

I realise the optimisation that is going on in the guildwars universe, but considering many of us now have specs that could run 10 guild wars clients at once I wondered if there was a tweak for the following:

/Improved texture quality on other players armor (No compression)
/Improved draw distance. When you take a screenshot guildwars up's this anyway, beyond high settings. For example trees in the distance that were spirtes become 3D.

Obviously these aren't available through graphics settings, I thought perhaps this could be achieved through a config tweak or command line.

It's worth a try, thanks in advance

the high texture quality on everyone is already possible. search "ksmod" on these forums and you'll find it.

the improved draw distance mod is currently not available, but would certainly be welcome.

Brilliant, will give it a search now. Thank you.

Here's hoping some bright soul is underway on a draw distance mod

that doesn't do anything about the draw distance problem.

GW was optimized so that it will replace every 3D object with a 2D sprite at a certain distance, and slowly blend it back into a 3D object as you move nearer. AF16 will only reduce/eliminate texture distortion due to viewing angle.

I know that, but it should improve textures a little.

FPS is easy - 60. Unless you're using an old CRT monitor, in which case anything up to 85.

Ping? Anything less than 100 and you're laughing.
