Default increasing Ram usage ?

apparently , i've done this before, i managed to increase the Ram usage of guild wars and it managed to reduce all my lag for me. ive a total of 3 gb ram and i dont really do anything else other than play GW on windows mode with Gw wiki up. what im trying to say is that i by accident removed that extra code or whatever you call it to make it use more ram then it should normally do. you type it in the GW launcher icon, just like -image. im lagging badly again so any help would be appreciated. yes i've tried to defrag my computer and my gw.dat file but nothing changed. and i even reinstalled GW . yeah , ive a gay internet and because of chinas great firewall, its even slower than what we bought it to be.

i didnt use to lag at all , even without the help of this extra command. but now i lag like hell ><

thanks

that would be the -heapsize command, which allows you to dedicate ram to GW. however, i believe this command has been removed a year ago.

Pulled those two out.

Tbh 3gigs ram is WAY more than GW even needs so either you tried to manually setup your ram/system and did it horribly wrong or your internet is to blame.

@moriz, i'm not sure about that, idk , can someone check that for me ?

@what now , probably my internet. i think its 56kbps ( i cant change it since my dad's company rented this place ) and because of the great china's fire wall which reduces our internet speed by idk how much. i'll try to get my dad to increase the internet's speed. ive changed my router to an ASUS WL520GC router, idk if that helps.

p.s. when i first came to china, it didn't lag at all. i could play GW for 24/7 and not lag ( but i might burnout my laptop ) but like a few months ago, i started lagging .. so idk whats the cause of it
